How to cook juicy chicken breasts
Whether you're pan-frying or grilling, here are simple instructions for cooking chicken breasts that will turn out mouthwatering results.
Steps to success
- Pan Frying Method: Heat oil in a non-stick pan to medium. Place chicken breasts (rounded-side down) into the pan. Cook till meat or skin is golden. Flip, cook until second side is lightly golden. Cover. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until internal temperature of chicken reaches 74°C (165°F).
- Barbecue Method: Oil grill, heat to about 180°C (350°F). If using skin-on, bone-in chicken breasts, rub hot clean grill with chicken skin—this will grease your grill and prevent the chicken from sticking! Place breasts, rounded-side down, on the grill. When golden, flip. Cook, turning, until evenly golden. Avoid flares. Move chicken to upper rack to finish cooking. Close the lid until chicken reaches temperature 74°C (165°F).
